Beautiful drapery in paintings and sculpture is often taken for granted, overlooked as a mere accessory to the main subject. But the structure and form of drapery is subtle and complex, and is worthy of careful study in it's own right. In this class students will spend 8 class sessions studying the anatomy of drapery to better understand the types of structures typically found in fabric, and how they interact with light. We'll work on a single painting for the duration of the 8 weeks.
