Perfect for students interested in learning the specifics of facial features and portraiture, this class offers insight into the structure of the face though the development of an anatomical écorché. Beginning with a life-size plastic skull, students will learn about muscle origins and insertions while sculpting the muscles that govern facial structure and expression. Lectures will address muscle form and action, as well as the anthropometry of the skull: how facial form and features differ from one person to another.
